About The Event

'Mindfulness can meet us everywhere in our lives to support our emotional and physical health - we just have to be attentive to see it, hear it and sense it' SamMantra

This wellness retreat day is a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in some guided mindful practices to engage the senses and step away from the busyness of daily routines. The day will be spent in periods of guided silent practice with breathwork, mindful walking outside, mindful eating and gentle yoga and Qi Gong movement. All designed to be deeply restorative to help quieten the mind and restore the body. 

Set in the wellbeing space of the ZH Wellness studio and surrounded by meadows there is plenty of space and time to take in the beauty of nature and to find some stillness. At the end of the day there will be time for some quiet reflection too. 

Open to all levels of meditators and those that have a mindful practice, or have attended SamMantra’s courses and classes before. Light refreshments and homemade nurtritional snacks are provided. Please bring your own light packed lunch and blankets if you wish. 

Sam is a mindfulness and wellness coach with over seven years of teaching experience. She runs her own wellbeing practice called SamMantra in Surrey and is passionate about helping to eliminate the growing disease of stress in society today. She also has a strong interest in mindful self-compassion practices and mindful movement, having practiced yoga for nearly thirty years and includes breathwork with gentle yoga and Chi Gong practices in her classes.

Mindfulness is often referred to as heart-full-ness and it is this open-hearted awareness that has allowed Sam to deepen her own personal practice and apply the same principles into her teaching. She likes to teach mindfulness with a soft and creative touch guiding everyone to bring mindful living practices into their everyday life to improve their emotional and physical wellbeing.

If you are new to mindfulness and meditation, the retreat is not recommended for complete beginners, and you are invited to get in touch with Sam to try a taster class first.   

Please note spaces are limited so book early to avoid dissapointment.

Sam Weerasinghe is a accredited teacher & member of BAMBA and adheres to the good practice guildelines for mindfulness based teaching in the UK.
